Gonstead Technique

gonstead technique chiropractor great falls, MT

The Gonstead Technique was pioneered by Dr. Clarence S. Gonstead. Dr. Gonstead spent decades of clinical practice seeing hundreds of thousands of patients during which he developed his methodology. Today, the technique is one of the most respected in the field of chiropractic care.

The Gonstead Technique was designed to treat subluxations. A subluxation is a misalignment of the vertebrae in a patient’s spine. These misalignments can lead to a variety of health issues and problems because they interfere with the nerve signals going out to different body parts. As Dr. Gonstead said himself:

“Find the subluxation, accept it where you find it, correct it, and leave it alone.”

In order to determine if a patient does indeed have a subluxation, Dr. Tim Six will conduct a thorough examination of the patient including reviewing the complete patient history, static palpation, motion palpation, instrumentation of the spinal column, orthopedic and neurological testing, x-ray analysis, and, if necessary, laboratory analysis. If a subluxation is found, then Dr. Tim Six will use his training to correct the issue. Otherwise, he will refer the patient to the appropriate healthcare provider.
